The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) is looking to outsource the management and delivery of Skills Highway for a period of two years.

Skills Highway is a workplace literacy and numeracy programme funded by the TEC. Improving literacy and numeracy can unlock productivity, kick-start educational success, and deliver far-reaching benefits to workers, their families, and workplaces.

The TEC regularly reviews its products and services to make sure we are fulfilling our commitments to the sector. We’re now looking for an external organisation with the right connections and aspirations to take Skills Highway forward, following on from TEC’s management of the programme since 2019.

We are therefore exploring the market for a supplier to deliver a great service to users of Skills Highway. We’ll be looking for an organisation with the capability, and employer and industry connections, to deliver Skills Highway effectively.

We are following the standard government procurement process, using the Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS).

If you have any questions, please contact us at Skills.Highway@tec.govt.nz.
